Don't put up or shut up

The TUC is hosting a webinar on workplace harassment on 11th December commencing at 2pm

Workers in the retail, hospitality and transport sectors suffer abuse from customers and members of the public all too frequently, from general harassment to violent acts, in what has become accepted as "part of the job"

The TUC quite correctly says that this should not be acceptable in this way. Although it happens to anyone, younger workers are most likely to be affected as they are usually in insecure jobs and lack a voice at work. These younger workers are also less likely to be members of a trade union or to report the abuse to an employer.

This webinar, hosted by TUC young workers policy officer Kathryn Mackridge will present experiences of third party abuse and show how unions can help tackle this growing problem.
